Vocal Waves is a dynamic, non-auditioned, community choir for adults over 18yo, led by their Founding Artistic Director, Antony Zambolt.

Formed in 2018 as HOTA Choir, Vocal Waves rebranded in 2021 and continues to grow and expand with its vibrant and passionate membership. Utilising choral singing as a force for positivity, Vocal Waves attracts a diverse membership from across the Gold Coast. Our choristers appreciate the opportunities for creative engagement, mental stimulation, and positive human connections made possible in a safe and supportive environment.

Vocal Waves engage in a wide variety of contemporary and traditional repertoire in SSAAB format and participate regularly in community events and standalone concerts.

Banner with Blue and gold speckled ribbon - text: "Acknowledgement of Country"

Vocal Waves would like to acknowledge all First Peoples of the land on which we live, walk and work. We honour them and their Ancestors for the survival, continued traditions, spiritual connection to, and caring of, country, land, sky, water and sea. We pay respect to their Elders past and present, as well as emerging leaders, and will continue to support their right to self-determination. In particular, we pay respect to the Traditional Owners, the Kombumerri People of the Ngarahngwal and Yugambeh language groups of the Mibiny nation.

Consider visiting Yugambeh Nation or Kombumerri Together Project to learn more.
